About Modern Relay
Modern Relay is the source of truth for enterprise AI. As AI moves from chat to action, companies need a shared view of what's real, the governance to change it, and the infrastructure they control.
We've built a graph engine where humans and agents share one governed context. The ontology models every entity and relationship in the customer's domain. Git-like branching and merging let agents work in parallel under human review, with the query layer operating directly on the graph.
Every change to the graph is versioned, reviewed, and reversible, with all of it running on the customer's infrastructure. We believe this is the future of enterprise AI, and we're building it.
Job summary
You might thrive at Modern Relay if you:
- Turn a powerful but unfamiliar tool into something a developer can pick up in an afternoon
- Write the example, the cookbook, and the docs you wish existed — then ship them
- Read TypeScript and Rust well enough to debug a user's setup, not just demo the happy path
- Measure success in activated developers and merged community PRs, not vanity metrics
- Already use Claude and Codex as your default tooling, and build in public
You own how developers discover, learn, and succeed with Omnigraph and the open-source ecosystem around it — docs, examples, talks, and the community, from first clone to production.
Responsibilities
- Own the developer narrative: quickstarts, cookbooks, and reference docs for Omnigraph, the TypeScript SDK, and the MCP server
- Build runnable examples and starter graphs that get someone from install to a working graph in minutes
- Run the community across Slack, GitHub issues and discussions — and turn recurring questions into docs and fixes
- Create technical content: posts, talks, and demos that show real agent and graph workflows
- Carry developer feedback back into Engineering and Product; advocate for the rough edges users actually hit
- Grow adoption through workshops, hackathons, and partnerships with AI-native teams
What you bring
- 3+ years in developer relations, developer experience, or engineering with a strong writing and teaching habit
- Fluency in TypeScript and Python; comfort reading Rust and living in the command line
- A track record of docs, examples, or talks that developers actually used
- Genuine interest in agents, retrieval, and graph or data infrastructure
- Clear, honest writing with no marketing fluff
- Comfort building in public and engaging a technical community every day
